If there is a word to describe Steve Belkin, work history, it would be unpredictable. Steve has veered and zigzagged and bobbed and weaved and stumbled through thirty years of absolutely disconnected experiences. After graduating from the University of Michigan Ann-Arbor, Steve worked as the continuity coordinator otherwise known as the “Personal Slave” on soap opera / Pop Star Rick Springfield’s Tour. His next job was being the road manager for corporate sponsorship for rock tours like Genesis, Steve Nicks, Tom Petty among others.
After getting fired from four jobs in 4 years, Steve launched Sports Media Management handling the TV and Radio rights to produce for Wisconsin pro sports personalities like Green Bay Packers Head Coach Mike Holmgren. Players like Brett Favre, Reggie White, Milwaukee Bucks head coaches Mike Dunleavy and Chris Ford among others.
Steve's escapades in the frequent flyer world was chronicled in a book called “Mileage Maniac” which briefly was number one on Amazon travel categories.
When Steve gets passionate, he doesn't mess around.White scuba,he went from zero to hero from Open Water to instructor in less than 4 months and he has amassed over 1100 dives in less than 3 years, including 250 during the peak of COVID. No part of the world has been safe from Steve’s scuba invasion even remote out-post like Palawan,Philippines Koh Lipe,Thailand, Andaman / Nicobar Islands of India, Musandam, Oman the closest point of Persian Gulf Iran, 4 months quarantine in Tofo Mozambique.
Despite of being a total newbie, Steve parlayed his love of comedy into a comedy Show called “Kwik Witz”, basically the precursor of the hit TV show “Whose Line Is It Anyway”. Steve provided a launch vehicle before they were famous for comedy talent like Steve Carell, Wayne Brady, Jack McBrayer and Alex Borstein among others.
The Amazing Race for regular people was Steve’s next brainchild, 10 day team travel competition whit daily surprise challenges that offbeat and interactive activities in under the radar locales in Europe.it's called Competitours.
Steve failed miserably in trying to start Snuba-a-hybrid snorkel/ scuba product in Antigua as well as a manual solar tracker company in India. He rebounded by scaling up an airline mileage award booking company www.bookyouraward.com that has been since redeemed over five billion miles worth of international Business Class awards.
Maic, Alfredo, Jose and Fernando joined the company during 6 months of painstaking research and development. They each had the patience and the confidence that going back to the blackboard dozens of times would some how and some way end up with a compelling final product.
